Affili Community Development, LLC (“Affili,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Affili Markets mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address
- Login credentials
- Profile information you choose to provide
- Vendor or business information (if applicable)
User Content
We collect content you create in the App, including:
- Vendor profiles
- Messages
- Images
- Reviews or listings
- Event participation information
Location Information
The App may access your device location to discover nearby markets and events and to provide map and navigation features. Location is used in real time and is not stored by Affili.
Device & Usage Information
We may collect limited technical information such as:
- Device type
- App version
- Crash reports and diagnostics
We use Firebase Crashlytics to help improve app stability.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage user accounts
- Provide marketplace and community features
- Enable messaging between users
- Display vendor and market information
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Provide customer support
- Maintain safety and prevent misuse
- Maintain optional Facebook and Instagram integrations
- Publish user-approved market updates, vendor highlights, and event announcements
- Verify connection and publishing status for connected social accounts
3. Social Media Integrations
Affili Markets may allow users to connect optional social media integrations, including Facebook Pages and Instagram Business Accounts.
By connecting a social media account, you authorize Affili Markets to:
- Publish approved content to connected accounts
- Retrieve basic Page or account information needed to identify the connected account
- Maintain the connection using access tokens provided by Meta
Affili Markets stores only the minimum information required to maintain these integrations, including Meta access tokens, selected Facebook Page information, linked Instagram Business account identifiers, publishing capability status, and minimal connection metadata.
Affili Markets does not store private messages, follower lists, comments, or social media content archives from connected Facebook or Instagram accounts.
4. Information Sharing
Affili does not sell personal information.
Information may be visible to other users when you choose to share it, including:
- Profile information
- Vendor listings
- Messages
- Public marketplace content
We do not share your information with third parties except for service providers necessary to operate the App (such as hosting and crash reporting).
When users choose to connect Facebook or Instagram integrations, certain actions are processed through Meta's services according to Meta's own terms and privacy policies. Affili Markets does not sell social connection data.
5. Data Storage & Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, including secure authentication, encrypted transmission, and access controls. However, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your Choices
You may:
- Update profile information
- Delete content you create
- Stop location access via device settings
- Disconnect Facebook and Instagram integrations through Settings > Social Connections
- Delete stored Meta connection data and access tokens by disconnecting the integration
- Request account deletion or assistance by contacting support@affili.us
7. Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their data or delete their account through available account settings.
Users may also remove social media integration data by going to Settings > Social Connections and disconnecting Facebook/Instagram.
Disconnecting removes stored Meta connection data and access tokens associated with the connected Facebook Page and optional Instagram Business account.
If you cannot access your account or need assistance with deletion, contact support@affili.us.
8. Children
The App is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Third-Party Services
We use limited third-party services, including:
- Meta/Facebook and Instagram (optional social publishing integrations)
- Firebase Crashlytics (diagnostics)
These providers process information according to their own privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the “Effective Date” above. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance.
